About
Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) transform wireless networks by optimizing signal propagation and coverage. By dynamically controlling electromagnetic reflections, RIS enhances mmWave deployments and future network applications.

Unlike passive RIS, which only adjusts phase shifts, active RIS amplifies signals to overcome path loss and improve performance. Characterization involves verifying reflection properties and assessing any impact on modulation quality.

This webinar explores RIS technology, applications, and testing methodologies, offering key insights into evaluating RIS performance through OTA measurements. Join us to discover how RIS can shape the future of wireless communication.
Agenda
  • Fundamentals of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS): How RIS technology enhances mmWave performance and future network applications
  • Differences Between Passive and Active RIS: Understanding their impact on signal control, capacity, and network efficiency
  • OTA Characterization of RIS: Key parameters to assess reflection properties and modulation quality
  • Real-World Testing Approaches: Methods for evaluating RIS performance in both near-field and far-field scenarios
  • Future Applications and Industry Impact: How RIS can optimize wireless networks and support emerging technologies
