  • Adding to Your Assets: What Unique resources or assets are at your disposal as a parent based on your personality, experience, and values?
  • Reaction Time: How do you react when the heat is on?
  • Worth Trying: Breakout groups brainstorm concrete ways that negative situations or beliefs could be used positively as parents.
  • Next Step: Parents will review the assets that might have made a difference in their lives when they were kids.

Chron Cross is a Parent and Parent Engagement Specialist with the Oink Group in which her duties include outreach, community service, and management.

She also serves as the Chair of the Parent Advisory Council at her daughters' high school, and is a member of the Parent Board Of Governors with the Chicago Public Schools. On her spare time she volunteers at local community organizations providing outreach and resources to low income families.

Chron attended Depaul University and received her bachelor's degree in Community Psychology.
