Second webinar of a five-part series hosted by the International Testing Agency (ITA).

This session will focus on the Doping Control process. Marko Petric, an experienced Doping Control Officer and International-level judoka, will explain the urine sample collection process. Lara Santi is also a seasoned Doping Control and Blood Collection Officer and she will cover the blood sample collection process. Marc Mundell will provide an athlete perspective, sharing his experiences and tips for athletes and their entourage. Marc is a two-time Olympian in race walking from South Africa.

Olympian, Education Manager - International Testing Agency
Olya Abasolo Ovtchinnikova is a Canadian Olympian who competed at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in the sport of fencing. Olya holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University in Canada and is in the process of completing a Master's Degree in Olympic Studies. After retiring from sport, Olya worked at the Canadian Olympic Committee on Olympian marketing, legacy and education programs. In 2019, Olya joined the International Testing Agency in a role of the Education Manager.

Doping Control Officer
Marko Petric is a former elite judo athlete and member of the Slovenian National Team. He has been subject to doping control as an athlete during his junior and senior career. Marko is also a qualified lawyer and has 10 years of professional experience in anti-doping. He has worked as a Doping Control Assistant for 3 years and a Doping Control Officer for 6 years, conducting in-competition and out-of-competition testing all over the world. Marko currently manages testing programs for combat sports at the International Testing Agency.

Doping Control & Blood Collection Officer
Lara Santi is a laureate in Biomedical Sciences with specialization in pathology, biotechnology, epidemiology and sports physiology. Lara worked as a Doping Control and Blood Collection Officer for 13 years, working with organizations like the US Anti-Doping Agency and the Brazilian Anti-Doping Agency. Lara has worked at 9 major events including the Pan American, Olympic and Paralympic Games. Lara currently manages testing programs for team sports at the International Testing Agency.

Two-time Olympian
Marc Mundell is an Olympic race walker who represented South Africa at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Marc is a continental record holder in the 50km racewalk and he is planning to make his third Olympic Games appearance in Tokyo next year. Marc holds a Master in Human Movement Sciences degree from the University of Pretoria and is currently completing the AISTS Master of Advanced Studies in Sport Administration and Technology degree in Lausanne, Switzerland. Marc lives and trains in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada.
