Gregg S. Fisher
Founder & Portfolio Manager, Quent Capital
Gregg S. Fisher is a pioneer in the field of investment science, with over 30 years of experience in investment and portfolio management. Gregg is highly regarded for his innovations in using data analysis and systematic strategies to inform investment decisions. In 1993, he founded the investment advisory firm Gerstein Fisher, where he first developed and deployed a multi-factor investing strategy based on academic and proprietary research. He grew Gerstein Fisher to a $4 billion investment firm before selling it to People’s United Bank.

After the sale, Gregg served as Head of Research and Portfolio Strategy for the bank’s investment division, while remaining Portfolio Manager of systematic global strategies and funds until his resignation in 2019.

Gregg founded Quent Capital to invest in global innovation and is the Portfolio Manager of Quent Long Short Global Small Cap Fund, launched in 2020. At Quent, Gregg combines his expertise in quantitative analysis and research with his entrepreneurial knowledge to invest in small cap stocks globally.

Gregg is on the program committee of the Q Group, a 50-year-old organization promoting excellence in financial research and cutting-edge applications. He has served as a guest lecturer for the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, New York University, Columbia University, McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, Cornell Business School, and Harvard University. In 2018, he was named to the University at Buffalo’s Board of Trustees and is now Chair of the billion-dollar endowment/foundation. He is the creator and host of the award-winning podcast The Q Factor with Gregg Fisher.

Gregg received his Bachelor of Science, Finance from SUNY Buffalo. He has been a CFA charter holder since 2002 and a Certified Financial PlannerTM since 1995. In addition, he has completed Harvard University’s HBS Leadership Executive Education program.
