Markus Ahr
Global Product Manager Corrosion Protection Coatings
Markus Ahr is the Worldwide Product Manager for Corrosion Protection Coatings at MKS’ Atotech Corrosion Protection Competence Center in Trebur, (Frankfurt) Germany. He began his career as an electroplater in 1995 and later earned a diploma in surface engineering and material science from HTW Aalen University. With over 20 years of experience in the plating industry, Markus joined MKS in 2006, initially providing product support. He was later promoted to Product Manager for the semiconductor business. Since 2011, Markus has been leading the Corrosion Protection Coatings division, focusing on electrolytic zinc, zinc-nickel, passivation, and sealers. His responsibilities also include zinc flake coatings and aluminum pretreatment. As Global Product Manager, Markus bridges customer needs with R&D developments, ensuring innovative solutions meet market demands.
