This episode focuses on the practical implementation of Peristomal Hygiene in clinical ostomy care.
Overview
This two-hour masterclass provides healthcare professionals with evidence-based knowledge and practical guidance for delivering consistent ostomy care.
Through expert presentations, clinical case discussions and practical demonstrations, participants will explore the global challenges associated with leakage and peristomal skin complications. The programme introduces the four-step Peristomal Hygiene protocol: Cleanse, Assess, Secure and Live.
Participants will learn how to use structured assessment tools, select appropriate pouching solutions and provide education that supports skin health, independence and quality of life.
