Winfield Wilson is an attorney and policy analyst specializing in environmental, natural resources, and labor issues. Wilson also teaches at American University as an adjunct faculty, including courses in environmental law at the Washington College of Law and public administration at the School of Public Affairs. Wilson holds advanced degrees from American University, including a master's of public policy from the School of Public Affairs and a J.D., cum laude from the Washington College of Law, and a bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences from Brown University. In law school, Wilson was a proud recipient of an EMLF scholarship. He has worked as a geologist, environmental consultant, and currently is a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of the Solicitor, enforcing health and safety laws in the mining industry. Wilson has published in Sustainable Development Law & Policy and presented research at conferences including the American Society of Public Administration, Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, Work in a Warming World, and International Conference on Sustainable Development.
