Course Aims
This training module will provide heating engineers a basic understanding of equipment and activities required for the electrical testing of appliances, systems, and components, including use of the multimeter, safe electrical isolation, preliminary electrical system checks, testing voltage and resistance.
Who should attend?
Any engineer who would like to improve their understanding and recognition of safe electrical isolation, preliminary electrical system checks and the testing of appliances, systems, and components.
If you already own a multimeter and lead set, feel free to have it to hand during the session – you can join in with some simple tasks such as checking voltage on a household battery or resistance on a system component, which will help you familiarise with your product.
Please ensure you have a calculator on hand during the course, you will require one to carry out some exercises during the session.
