Renata Stripecke is the laboratory head of the Regenerative Immune Therapies Applied at the Hannover Medical School, Germany. Rebuilding the immune system after cancer, chronic infections or transplantation requires the regeneration of adaptive immune responses by dendritic cells and T cells. Engineered dendritic cells and CAR-T cells are current in development in the Stripecke laboratory as advanced therapy medicinal products against cancer and herpesviruses. These technologies are evaluated in humanized mouse models and revalidated with GMP-compliant procedure for clinical trials.
