Dan Sumpter is a US Army MP Veteran and has previous work history in state corrections before retiring in 2019 after 25 years as a Detective from the Elyria Police Department in Ohio. Dan was a Digital Forensic Examiner and was certified from the Ohio Police Officers Academy as a Digital Evidence Recovery Specialist. Dan is an ICAC affiliate and still holds his police commission. Dan's formal education consists of Technical certificates in Digital Forensics and Police Science, Associate's Degree in Police Science, BS in Criminal Justice, and a MS in Cyber Security. Dan has been employed at AccessData/Exterro for 6.5yrs.
Dan lives in a rural community just West of Cleveland Ohio. Dan has been married for over 28 years to his wife Erin and they have 4 wonderful children, Daughters, Emma, Dana and sons Noah, and Micah. Dan enjoys classic cars, motorcycles, whiskey, and fine cigars with friends.
