Daniel is an experienced engineering leader with over fifteen years of experience, most of them in the Pharmaceutical Industry. He currently leads Process and Mechanical Engineering for GSK Consumer Healthcare.

In his role Daniel leads 80 subject matter experts based in the different GSK Consumer Healthcare manufacturing sites around the globe. He focuses on Capital Investment Projects, Strategic Improvement Initiatives, Reliability and also Process and Machinery Safety. Prior to his current role he was the Head of Process and Machinery Safety for GSK Consumer Healthcare where he delivered important improvements in reducing the number of incidents, building capability across the network and updating processes, systems and standards. He was previously the Process Engineering Manager for GSK Montrose where he was accountable for support to manufacturing, capital projects, process safety and environmental compliance.

Daniel holds a Chemical Engineering Degree, an MSc in Automation and Instrumentation From the Universidad de Los Andes (Venezuela) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Newcastle University. He was the Process Engineering discipline lead for GSK’s graduate programme and also leads GSK’s IChemE’s Accredited Training Scheme.
