Our Deep Dive series of webinars is designed to look in more detail at issues facing businesses and individuals today.
Join us for our fifth event of 2022! This session will focus on the environment and specifically how businesses can start on the journey to reduce their carbon footprint in a measured way.
This event follows on from others in the series which have looked at the reasons businesses are putting sustainability centre stage in their business models. For many of us the rationale for looking to make a positive change to our business’ carbon footprint are now a given – the next (daunting) question is where to start. We will be joined by the University of Exeter's Impact and Partnership Development Manager, who works with businesses on this matter, and two businesses who have started to take meaningful actions to discuss this and for them to share top tips.
The topic of the environment and the impact businesses have on it has never been more pertinent. There are also many commercial, social and environmental reasons for businesses to focus on reducing their carbon footprint, and the need for action has only been accelerated by increasing energy prices. A Carbon Footprint also gives a business one of the first meaningful ways of measuring the Environmental Impact they have, and in turn ways of reducing that impact.
We understand a barrier that can lead to a delay in positive change is not knowing where to start, and that’s how this webinar can help. We will cover the basic language of carbon and the what, why and how the smallest changes can lead to long lasting benefits for our future as businesses and for the planet.
The content covered in this session will be of interest to businesses looking to embark on a carbon reduction journey and those who have started to take actions but have yet to establish a basis for quantification of actions taken
This event will be followed by one in the new year where we will look at enveloping carbon reduction into business culture and the wider community with which your business engages.
