Join us for a live webinar featuring both the KOPF² modular geared head and QUBE modular goniometer head. Martin and Matt will explore the benefits of having precise control over camera positioning and movement for exacting, demanding commercial and self-assigned work.
Topics we wil cover:
Why is a geared head useful? And for whom?
The three available configurations for KOPF² and QUBE
Example use cases for KOPF² and QUBE
Field notes from Robert Thompson and Matt Hill
The KOPF² modular geared head:
This innovative and exacting tripod head features precise fine-tuning for both axis, along with a quick adjustment built into both axis. The fine-tuning knobs are equipped with zeroable scales (0-90° in both directions), enabling extremely fine adjustments, while spirit levels at all necessary points ensure additional accuracy in alignment. The top and bottom of the geared head are equipped with ARCA -compatible profiles to ensure compatibility with a variety of accessories.
The QUBE modular goniometer head:
This head redefines the concept of a tripod head by combining precision adjustment with modularity. It enables the accurate alignment of SLR and mirrorless cameras, technical cameras, bellows devices, complex macro setups, binoculars, telescopes, and rangefinders.
This modular Goniometer Head QUBE stands out with its versatile structure, offering unprecedented flexibility to photographers and nature observers. The ARCA-compatible quick-release clamp on the top allows for effortless attachment of various devices, while the ARCA-compatible square base on the bottom ensures secure and stable anchoring. With 1/4"-3/8" threads, the Goniometer Head can be mounted on compatible components.
A notable feature of this Goniometer Head is its pivoting function, allowing precise movement of attached cameras, bellows, and other devices by 15° to the right and left. While this seemingly modest pivot may not appear overwhelming at first glance, it proves highly effective in many photographic applications, especially in close-ups, macro photography, and extreme telephoto ranges where shallow depth of field and limited angles occur.
The modularity of the Goniometer Head QUBE is evident in the ability to combine and stack two Goniometer Heads as desired, with movements either parallel or 90° offset to meet diverse photographic requirements.
As an additional option, the new Panorama Swivel Plate PANORAMA=QC can extend the overall setup and, in the maximum configuration, add a third adjustment axis. The panorama plate also features an ARCA/UniQ/C quick-release clamp on the top and a base on the bottom. With 1/4"-3/8" threads, it can be flexibly coupled or screwed.
For photographers who have precision on their mind and ease-of use in the studio or in the field, this presentation is not to be missed!
