Storm Arwen, described as a ‘rare red weather warning’ by the Met Office, wreaked havoc across Great Britain in November. Sustained winds and gusts in excess of 90 mph, unusually coming from the north-east, caused an estimated 8 million trees in Scotland to be damaged and power outages in over 200,000 homes across England, Scotland and Wales.
