Justin Rigby is an Associate Professor (Clinical) and Program Chair for Athletic Training in the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training at the University of Utah. In his current role, Dr. Rigby has the opportunity to be a photobiomodulation expert as an educator, researcher, and clinician within collegiate and high school athletics. Dr. Rigby has gained funding and published in his primary research area focusing on the effectiveness of photobiomodulation for injury prevention and exercise recovery in athletics.
Dr. Rigby earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with Athletic Training emphasis from the University of Utah, master’s degree in Athletic Training from Texas State University, and his doctorate in Exercise Sciences from Brigham Young University. Dr. Rigby has been an athletic trainer since 2008 and has worked in various settings, including high school and collegiate athletics and a rehabilitation clinic.
