John Endacott will be joined by employment tax expert Steve Ashworth and VAT partner Simon Anslow who will discuss the events of the previous day and what that means for individuals, businesses and the wider UK economy.
John is the firm’s head of tax. He provides high level tax advice combined with commercial acumen in terms of managing and advising on personal and business transactions. He has a broad knowledge of tax and can assist with all aspects of UK and international taxation. His main area of expertise is in respect of business structuring for both new and established businesses including partnership arrangements and LLPs.
John’s principal focus is on family businesses and helping business owners to achieve their aspirations. He has a particular focus on the property sector and advises property owners and developers on tax and financial matters.
Steve specialises in all aspects of employment tax and the Construction Industry Scheme in particular PAYE tax and National Insurance, Expenses, Benefits in Kind, P11Ds, PAYE Settlement Agreements, Employment Tax Healthchecks and Employment Status.
He provides technical advice, support and assistance to start ups through to large multi nationals across all trade and industry sectors throughout the UK, but has regularly dealt with clients within the food, drink and hospitality, aerospace and defence, media, technology and manufacturing sectors.
Simon heads up our VAT, Customs & Indirect Tax Team. A broad experience of industry sectors and working with businesses from start-ups through to multi-nationals enables Simon to provide informed advice and guidance and offer practical solutions and options, from basic compliance and efficiency management, through to complex planning and dispute resolution.
Land, property and construction matters present significant and ongoing VAT issues and Simon has considerable experience in assisting developers, construction firms, landlords and legal advisers in the residential, commercial, healthcare and holiday sectors.
An area of particular expertise is that of the marine sector; Simon heads up the Indirect Tax Marine Team that provides the VAT & Customs advisory services to British Marine and its members.
