Lt. Park is a native of South Korea. He enlisted in the Navy as a Boatswain’s Mate in October 2013 and commissioned through Officer Candidate School in January 2020. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in August 2018.

In January 2014, Lt. Park reported to his first duty station at USS John Paul Jones (DDG-53). The following tour, he joined the Navy Reserve and reported to Coastal Riverine Squadron ELEVEN in September 2018 where he served as a small boat engineer.

Upon completion of CECOS in November 2020, he reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion ELEVEN where he served as Material Liaison Officer, Bravo Company Platoon Commander, Chemical Biological Radiological OIC, and Honors Detail OIC. In June 2022, he reported to Officer In Charge of Construction China Lake where he served as a Construction Manager managing seven MILCON projects valued at $757M. In November 2023, he volunteered for a three-month assignment to NAVFAC Marianas where he served as a Portfolio Lead for Super Typhoon Mawar Recovery Program valued at $900M and Contracting Officer’s Representative for Mawar Global Contingency Service Contract valued at $125M.
In July 2024, he assumed duties as Facilities Management Division Director at Public Works Department China Lake.

Lt. Park is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington and Seabee Combat Warfare Officer qualified. He has also achieved certifications for Contracting Professional and Public Works Level II. His awards include Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (2), Humanitarian Service Medal, and other service awards. He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the Assistant Vice Chair for Young Professional Program in the Society of American Military Engineers.

Thomas A. Page Professor in Civil Engineering, Purdue University
Ayman Habib is the Thomas A. Page Professor at the Lyles School of Civil Engineering at Purdue University. He is the Co-Director of the Civil Engineering Center for Applications of UAS for a Sustainable Environment (CE-CAUSE). He is also the Associate Director of Purdue University's Joint Transportation Research Program (JTRP) and Institute of Digital Forestry (iDiF). He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in photogrammetry from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, in 1993 and 1994, respectively. His research interests include the fields of terrestrial and aerial mobile mapping systems using photogrammetric and LiDAR remote sensing modalities, UAV-based 3D mapping, and integration of multi-modal, multi-platform, and multi-temporal remote sensing data for applications in transportation, infrastructure monitoring, environmental protection, precision agriculture, digital forestry, resource management, and archeology.

A registered architect, designer, and active member of SAME, Sal currently serves as Client Development Lead for HDR. Within SAME, Sal is Vice Chair of the YP COI, an active member of the Architecture COI, and serves locally on the Resiliency Committee. At HDR, Sal is responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing projects within the Federal Business Group of HDR’s Architecture Practice. Additionally, Sal facilitates new client development and prospecting initiatives within emerging markets and core sectors of the firm. With 12 years of AEC-industry experience, Sal has served as a ‘seller-doer’ leveraging both technical roles as well as marketing and business development, pursuit leader, and manager. Sal’s Federal project experience includes clients such as USACE, Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency, Washington Headquarters Services, Dept of Veterans Affairs, Defense Health Agency, and GSA.
