This is a short extract from our Webinar on COVID-19 and State Aid Law; it took place on 2 April. You can see Phedon Nicolaides (Professor of European economic law at Maastricht University) speaking.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, EU Member States are urgently rolling out aid measures to save their economies. At the same time, the European Commission is working to quickly adapt the existing State aid legal framework to address the new reality. What are the new temporary rules for State aid? How to design compliant aid measures? How much flexibility can we allow before the State aid framework cracks? The need for clarity and discussion in the current dynamic, emergency situation has lead us to organise this timely webinar.
