The Narragunnawali Awards is the first national awards program in Australia that recognises and celebrates educational environments implementing outstanding reconciliation initiatives ā across the Government, Catholic and Independent sectors.
There are two Narragunnawali Awards categories - one for Schools and one for Early learning services. This webinar is suitable for those interested in the Schools category.
Finalist schools are acknowledged for the ways in which they strengthen relationships, build respect, and provide meaningful opportunities in the classroom, around the school, and with the community.
This webinar will walk through the technical aspects of the application process, the eligibility criteria, and the judging process for schools in 2021. We will also hear from Liza Hamilton, Head Teacher - Social Sciences, and Anjanette Warburton, an Aboriginal Education Officer at Maclean High School, who were the 2019 Narragunnawali Award Winners in the Schools category, share about their schools reconciliation journey.
