About This Study Group
Access new possibilities for food science research, recipe management, content development and nutrition education with easy-to-use computational tools and functions in Wolfram Language. This Daily Study Group will cover how to compute, analyze and visualize data from Wolfram Language's built-in knowledgebase of foods.
The study group builds on lessons from the newly released Wolfram U video course Computational Food and Nutrition. The first session introduces how to ask nutrition questions in natural language and get precise, computable food data expressions and how to do fast and easy nutrition analysis. The next sessions explore informative plots and 3D visualizations, patterns and relationships with nutrition statistical analysis, and the use of LLMs in recipe management. The study group concludes with a revealing look at the chemistry and physics of food in our diets and kitchens.
The instructor guides each session by sharing short lessons, polling the group to review key concepts, introducing practice problems and answering questions. A certificate of program completion will be awarded to participants who attend online sessions and pass the quiz.
