SAME Energy Security Webinar: New Nuclear Power Market Overview

Ray Arguello is a retired Navy Surface Warfare Officer. He served as the Commanding Officer of the USS Benjamin Stoddert DDG-22. He worked for POWER Engineers for 20 years building their government business. He has served in positions as a project manager and business development coordinator and program manager for POWER's Asia Pacific Operations. After his retirement from POWER Engineers he joined Scout as a Board Member to assist in their business development and marketing. He has been a member of SAME for over 15 years.

As the Advanced Nuclear Client Services Director, Dr. Russell leads ENERCON's strategic efforts in new nuclear markets like next-gen nuclear design, novel nuclear applications, and licensing/regulatory support.

Dr. Russell has a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Tennessee and over 15 years of experience in the nuclear industry across both national laboratories and commercial power. He is married to his wife Kirby and has five sons, including two sets of twins.
