Engineer & Accident Reconstructionist, U.S. Forensic
Mr. Kevin Brown obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He has more than 35 years of experience in the automotive industry and has testified in more than 65 automotive & reconstruction cases. As an engineer and ACTAR certified reconstructionist, his primary experience includes accident reconstruction and automotive mechanical failure analysis. Prior to earning his engineering degree, Mr. Brown worked as a Shop Forman, and he is currently an ASE Master Certified Service Technician. He assesses failures related to brakes, steering, airbags, suspension, power train components, and security systems as well as diesel and gasoline engine failures. His forensic experience includes vehicle accident reconstruction and damage consistency cases involving passenger and commercial vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians and multiple-vehicle collisions. As part of his collision analysis, he provides information on perception and reaction times, intersection line of sight and traffic signal analysis, seat belt use, head lamp and tail lamp use. Mr. Brown evaluates automotive damage to determine consistency with accounts provided including low speed collisions.
