Sr. Supervisor Public Safety at Union Pacific Railroad
Buck Russel, Sr. Supervisor Public Safety Union Pacific Railroad, and works to prevent highway grade crossing collision and trespasser incidents through education, enforcement, engineering and community outreach. Buck is a part of a 4 person team that focuses on promoting public safety across Union Pacific Railroad’s system, which encompasses 23 states and 32,000 miles of track. The team works with Federal, State, local governments and internal and external safety partners to address driver behaviors and prevent trespasser incidents. Buck started his career with Union Pacific Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer 23 years ago. Prior to joining Union Pacific, he served in the U.S. Air Force and a Police Officer in South Texas.
