LondonR is a free meet up group for users of R stats. We meet regularly for presentations from the R community. These events are free and open to all, whether you're R curious or an expert. LondonR is proudly organised and sponsored by Mango Solutions.
While we can't meet in person we have been hosting the meetups online - so grab a drink and join us for some R presentations from the comfort of your own home!

Encrypting with R. From protecting passwords to setting up a blockchain
Shiny Developer at Mango Solutions. The role is the same as any Software Developer, but almost exclusively using R and Shiny. In my past life, I worked as Data Scientist in different varied industries such as Finance, Academia and Videogames. I also starred as Product Manager in a mobile videogames start-up, and dedicate my weekends to deploy crumbling plumber applications.

NHSDataDictionaRy – the joy and perils of R package development
I work as Head of Advanced Analytics at Arden & Gem CSU. The role involves working with, and providing, data science services to customers, such as CCGs and national NHS bodies. My team consists of a team of highly skilled data science, statistics, modelling, economists and data manipulation experts. Prior to this, I was working for a leading predictive healthcare analytics company, as a Head of Solutions and AI. I was responsible for delivering training, product development / testing and validation and roll out of our predictive products to a wide customer base – across the UK, USA, Australia, Brazil and China. Additionally, I was also the Senior Data Scientist for new machine learning projects for this company.
I have had around 17 years of experience in the public and private sector in terms of all different flavours of analytics. I still love it to this day.
In terms of R experience I have been using R for 9+ years – predominantly for model development and deployment. I sit on the NHS-R communities technical advisory board as co-chair and have a passion for promoting R in the public sector.
