Chuck Lawless is a Church Answers Coach and the Dean of Doctoral Studies and Vice-President for Spiritual Formation at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. He also serves as team leader for Global Theological Education Strategies for the International Mission Board (SBC). He formerly served as Vice-President for Global Theological Advance of the IMB, in addition to leading the Lawless Group, a church consulting firm.
Chuck earned a M.Div. and PhD in Evangelism/Church Growth from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, where he also served as professor and dean of the Billy Graham School of Missions and Evangelism. Prior to that, he was pastor of two Ohio churches for 14 years. A conference speaker and author or co-author of more than ten books, including Spiritual Warfare: Biblical Truth for Victory, Discipled Warriors, Putting on the Armor, Mentor, and Spiritual Warfare in the Storyline of Scripture, Dr. Lawless has a strong interest in discipleship and mentoring. He and his wife, Pam, have been married for more than 28 years, and they live in Wake Forest, NC.
