OT-203A - Engineering and Design Methods for Modular Projects
The objective of this training workshop is to review modular engineering and design requirements, methods, and differences to a traditional stick-built designs. The methods introduced in this workshop will complement and enhance the Construction Industry Institute (CII) best practice for industrial modularization. We will review the differences between traditional stick-built designs vs. modular designs and what engineering and design considerations are required for modular designs. This training workshop is intended to be interactive.
Participants of this workshop should leave with an understanding of the following:
What are the differences in execution between a traditional stick-built approach vs. a modular design approach?
What are some methods and considerations for modular designs?
What are the modular engineering and design requirements?

Note: We will need a minimum number of registrants to proceed with this course. If we do not achieve the minimum number of registrants we may need to reschedule or cancel the course.
Cathy previous roles include a Subject Matter Expect in execution of a manufactured approach in heavy oil program delivery at WorleyParsons. The manufactured approach involves the development of a “minimum kit”, modularized design, that includes standardized engineering, procurement, and fabrication. Cathy has provided training and has facilitated workshops for project teams and clients including international workshare personnel. Cathy has also led an internal initiative to develop a standardized design catalogue for a minimum kit modular well pad for both new and sustaining capital projects.
