About Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) laid its foundation with the combined vision and leadership of the Prime Minister of India, the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Narendra Modi and the top industrialist Dr. Mukesh Ambani, to become an excellent university. PDPU offers multiple courses in Engineering, Sciences, Management, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

The primary focus areas for the university are to ensure energy for all, creating a large social impact and preparing the youth for tomorrow. The university has been accredited with NAAC A grade with CGPA of 3.39/4.0. It has been approved by UGC, AICTE and recognized by SIRO. PDPU is one of the only two Private Universities in the list of 62 universities awarded Graded Autonomy by UGC in 2018.

Dr. S. Sundar Manoharan

Director General, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University

Dr. S. Sundar Manoharan, a renowned Educationist, Scientist and an Administrator, obtained his doctoral degree from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore in the year 1991 and after his post-doctoral fellowship he served at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur as Professor between 1996 to 2014 and as the Vice-Chancellor of Karunya University, Coimbatore, Periyar Maniammai University and at Sathyabama University between Feb 2014 till Feb 2020.

Dr Sunil Khanna

Director of School of Technology at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU)

Prof. Sunil is a fellow of the Association of Microbiologists (FAMI) and was the President of the Association of Microbiologists of India in 2016. He is a member of a number of societies in India and abroad, and has also worked as Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Microbiology from 1993 to1996. His publications include 75 papers in peer-reviewed journals/books, 85 papers in conference proceedings/meetings, 20 technical reports, 3 reviews in books, and 2 books. Prof Sunil has also completed 24 research projects as principal investigator funded by Bilateral (UNDP, Ford foundation, IDRC Canada, NEDO Japan) and National institutions (MNRE, DST, ONGC and DBT). He has supervised 24 research scholars for their doctoral degree.

Dr. Nigam Dave

B.A, M.A, Ph.D, Director & Professor, School of Liberal Studies

Prof. Dave is looking after various academic and administrative profile in PDPU. Prof. Dave has visited Australia, US, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia as a member of academic and government delegations. He has visited number of international universities and is at the helm of things in collaborating with these universities and also actively sustaining these collaborations. He has been awarded the honorary rank of Colonel by NCC, India. He is currently also the head of Office of International Relations, PDPU.
