A strong pre-med application starts with a genuine interest in healthcare. Join Brown PLME alum, Dr. Katie Chiou, to learn how to turn that interest into a standout application.
Thinking about a future in medicine? This webinar, led by Admissions Expert Dr. Katie Chiou, will help high school students and their families understand what it means to be pre-med and how to build a strong college application that reflects a genuine interest in healthcare.
We’ll explore the academic preparation colleges expect, extracurricular activities that can help students stand out, and ways to demonstrate an interest in medicine through coursework, service, research, shadowing, and other experiences. Students will also learn how to think about choosing a college and major, whether a STEM major is necessary, and what to consider when applying to highly selective BS/MD programs.
By the end of the session, students will have a clearer understanding of how to prepare for the pre-med path in high school and approach the college admissions process with purpose.
