Having worked with clients across Europe, South America and Asia-Pacific, Daniel is a keen technologist with a particular focus on marketing technology where he has worked with Emarsys since 2011. As Managing Director for Greater China and Southeast Asia, Daniel leads Emarsys’ efforts across this region to manage some of the largest retail, E-commerce, and hospitality companies in the region. Originally from London, Daniel has been based in Hong Kong since 2014.
Varun Sharma, VP JAPAC, Emplifi
Varun leads the Emplifi business for Asia Pacific & Japan. He’s responsible for driving growth and developing customer and partner relationships, and is passionate about solving business challenges to help organisations deliver growth & increased customer satisfaction. Varun is focused on building highly collaborative teams and driving a customer-centric culture.
Varun has over 18 years experience in the CX, Digital & Hi-Tech industries across APAC & EMEA. Prior to Emplifi, he’s worked at Oracle, Adobe & high-growth start-up’s/scale-up organisations.
Varun holds a BSc degree in Computer Information Systems and a Masters in Business Management from Kingston University, London, United Kingdom. He has also completed executive management programs from University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School & University of Cambridge, Judge Business School.
Varun is based in Singapore where outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, is passionate about fitness & travel and loves watching sports like Cricket & Formula One.
Cecilia LV, Partnerships Development Manager, Facebook
Cecilia has 10 years of experience spanning across business strategy, enterprise sales, digital advertising and partnerships. Currently Cecilia develops strategic partnerships with top tier tech platforms specialized in creative development and influencer marketing to grow the partner ecosystem and build defensible capabilities that complement Facebook's products. Prior to this role, Cecilia worked with the largest travel advertisers in Asia Pacific to grow their businesses through maximizing opportunities with Facebook and its family of apps.
Before Facebook, Cecilia spent 6 years at Nielsen advising FMCG companies on business strategy pertaining to market entry and new product launches. Cecilia holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Science from Singapore Management University.
Wee John, CEO, Photobook Worldwide
Leow Wee Jonn is the CEO of Photobook Worldwide, the largest online photo product company in South East Asia.
Prior to Photobook Worldwide, he was the Co-Founder / Managing Director of Zalora Malaysia and headed the Marketing, IT and customer care departments. Under his supervision, ZALORA Malaysia became a leading ecommerce company in Malaysia with brand presence, site traffic and revenue growing the fastest amongst all of Zalora’s regional operations. Between 2008 and 2012, he served as a Consultant at Bain & Co, one of the world’s leading business consultancy firms. His past experience at Bain includes company due diligences, merger and acquisitions, business turnarounds, profit improvement and growth strategies. Wee Jonn holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.
In Photobook Worldwide, Wee Jonn heads the commercial side of the business which includes heading the Marketing, Product and Customer Experience teams. Over the past few years, he successfully grew Photobook Worldwide more than 10x to achieve more than 2 million orders per annum. He is currently spearheading several growth initiatives, ranging from geographic expansion to channel expansion, with the aim of making Photobook Worldwide a global photo product company.
Sharon Gai, Director of Global Key Accounts, Alibaba Group
Sharon Gai started her career in e-commerce at a Fortune 500 systems integrator, enabling SMB’s to conveniently order computer hardware online. She was part of Alibaba’s globalization initiative in the Alibaba Global Leadership Academy in which she advised large to emerging internet-viral brands in crafting their digital marketing and online e-commerce strategy in China. She currently serves as the Director of Global Key Accounts in the Tmall Overseas team, enabling global brands to leverage Alibaba’s overseas e-commerce platforms. Sharon has an Honors Bachelors degree in International Development from McGill and a Masters in Information Management from Columbia University.

Aparna has more than 20 years’ experience in the marketing, public relations and communications field, with roles spanning across Australia, UK, China and Silicon Valley. She specialises in the SaaS, high-tech and online retail industries and has worked closely within the e-commerce industry in the ANZ and APAC regions. Prior to dotdigital, Aparna headed up APAC marketing at ChannelAdvisor and SLI Systems. Aparna’s extensive PR agency experience includes stints at Weber Shandwick in London, Burson-Marsteller in Shanghai and Bite Communications in San Francisco.

Edouard Gheerbrant, Chief Operating Officer, is leading the operations (marketing, marketplace operations, monetisation…) and the new business developments (gaming, travel, food delivery..) for the 5 Daraz markets (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Myanmar) where Daraz is the undisputed e-commerce leader.
Over his journey, Edouard has grown Daraz’s user base by 50+ million users and led the acquisiton and growth of 300k+ sellers across the region.
Previously, he established Daraz customer experience and operations. Edouard also led the business and tech integrations between Daraz and Alibaba after the multi-millions acquisition in al 5 Daraz countries.

Alex Vogler is Senior Brand Director & Chief Marketing Officer
for Procter & Gamble’s eCommerce business across Asia, Middle
East and Africa.
She specializes in building brands rooted in human insights and
brought to life through new media models and channels, thanks
to her unique background: combining a global career in
marketing while holding a master’s degree in computer science,
peppered with an upbeat ‘do-learn-do’ mindset.
Over the years, she has worked across multiple divisions in P&G,
spanning Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa, most recently as
the digital transformation architect for P&G’s portfolio of Beauty
brands. During this time, she amongst others spearheaded Olay’s
foray into digital and performance marketing, made digital pull
media integral to luxury skincare brand SK-II, and brought anti-
bacterial soap Safeguard into the 21st century.
She is an avid runner, skier and diver, a TV series junkie and
bookworm, and speaks 6 languages as a result of growing up all
around the world.
She currently lives in Singapore with her husband and 2 sons

Rajesh Thadani is Executive Director, eCommerce, at Lenovo Asia
Pacific. He is responsible for driving Lenovo’s eCommerce strategy
and vision for the Asia Pacific region. In his current role, he is focused
on advancing service-led transformation for customers through
comprehensive technology solutions and services.
Rajesh first joined Lenovo via IBM in 2005, as Country Manager,
Sales, Lenovo India. In this role, he led the charge in setting up
Lenovo’s distribution and consumer businesses in India. In 2013,
Rajesh moved to Indonesia and took on the Country General
Manager position for Lenovo Indonesia, growing the PC and Data
Center business for the company locally. Prior to joining Lenovo,
Rajesh worked in various roles covering account management and
enterprise sales for local and international IT infrastructure
Rajesh is a highly motivated and experienced senior executive with a
successful career in sales, business development and online
business management. With more than 25 years in the technology
industry, his specialties include business operations and people
management for diverse, cross-functional teams and complex
geographic strategy management to deliver exceptional results.
He holds a Master’s degree in Marketing Management (MMM) from
Mumbai University and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) from Pune
University, India. He lives in Hong Kong with his wife and daughter.
