SIF PFD Calculations: Defining Diagnostics

The third webinar in our SIS Mastery series is dedicated to one of the most important inputs used in Safety Instrumented Function (SIF) PFD calculations: diagnostics.

Including diagnostics in your SIF PFD calculations can positively impact the calculated PFD outcomes of your SIF equipment. However, there are important rules and prerequisites that determine when diagnostic credit can be claimed and when it cannot. Understanding these requirements is essential for producing realistic, compliant, and defensible SIF calculations.
