Join Carey Olsen's employment law teams in Jersey and Guernsey for an update on the latest developments in anti-discrimination law in both islands.
In Guernsey, Natasha Newell, Counsel, and Lois Madden, Associate, will provide an update on the imminent changes to Guernsey's anti-discrimination law regime, with a focus on the recent developments on the characteristics of religion or belief and sexual orientation. In Jersey, Huw Thomas, Counsel, and Tarina Le Boutillier, Senior Associate, will take a look at some key decisions of the Jersey Employment & Discrimination Tribunal in relation to discrimination. They will also discuss the use of education and training of employees, with a focus on the associated risks and benefits of different options.
This session will analyse the possible directions the incoming Guernsey regime may take, taking a comparative approach with both Jersey and the UK. It will be of use to HR professionals in all sectors, and particularly those working in pan-island businesses.
