As Executive Chairman, and or a BoD member Mr. Linton works closely with Founders and Sr. Management thru weekly Monday calls. Bruce believes in founders and pushes them all to constantly test the Company’s strategic decision-making, be inventive in the capital markets and to be the LEADER.
Mr. Linton is the founder and former CEO of Canopy Growth Corporation (“Canopy Growth”) and co-founder of Tweed Marijuana Incorporated. Under his leadership, Canopy Growth was the first cannabis producing company in North America to be listed on a major stock exchange (TSX) and included on a major stock index (S&P/TSX Composite Index).
Canopy Growth was also the first cannabis-producing company to list on the New York Stock Exchange.
After beginning his career at Newbridge Networks Corporation, Mr. Linton held positions that include General Manager and Re-Founder of Computerland.ca, President and Co-Founder of webHancer Corp., and part of the establishing team at CrossKeys Systems Corporation (“CrossKeys”).
Bruce was also part of the leadership team for the NASDAQ/TSX initial public offering at CrossKeys. He is the past Chairman of the Ottawa Community Loan Foundation, past Board Member and Treasurer of Canada World Youth, past Board of Governor for Carleton University, past President of the Nepean Skating Club, and past President of the Carleton University Students Association.
Aaron Smith is co-founder and executive director of the National Cannabis Industry Association, the largest trade association representing legal cannabis businesses in the U.S and the only one working to advance the industry on a national level.
Prior to launching NCIA, Aaron distinguished himself as a public advocate for marijuana policy reform — first under the auspices of a California-based medical cannabis advocacy group, Safe Access Now in 2005, and then as the California state policy director for the Washington, D.C.-based Marijuana Policy Project until founding NCIA in 2010.
Aaron has successfully built coalitions with elected officials on both sides of the aisle in order to advance marijuana law reform legislation. Aaron’s opinion pieces have appeared in major newspapers, including the San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, and The New York Times, and he has been a frequent commentator on national television news networks. Originally from California, Aaron is currently based in Denver.
Christine De La Rosa
Christine spent 20 years as a systems and database architect in tech before coming to cannabis. She is a social entrepreneur who has spent most of her adult life building businesses that creatively engage and employ the local communities that surround them.
A history in technology, business consulting and entrepreneurship were part of the trajectory that led to Christine co-owning successful cannabis businesses in both California and Oregon. She is a well-respected business leader, advocate, and activist; and passionate about the industry that saved her life.
At the top of her tech career, Christine almost died from complications of undiagnosed Lupus. In 2015, she found cannabis as an alternative medicine to treat her lupus. No longer bound to 11 pills a day or monthly infusions, she was inspired by her experience to open Benefit Health Collective in 2016, along with her co-founders to help those who most need access to cannabis. Together they continue to grow their multi-state dispensary footprint and build a fiercely sought after national social equity model and enterprise now known as The People’s Dispensary.
Christine is currently the CEO and National Co-Founder of The People's Dispensary. She is an advisory board member of the Access + Innovation Project and Cannabis Doing Good. Additionally, she is a member of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Committee for NCIA (National Cannabis Industry Association).
