"Queer-ing History" is a unique workshop for allies of the Queer community. Through stories and songs of Calgary’s Queer community, we'll explore together LGTBQ2S+ Canadians fight for equality/equity outside the usually American dominated narrative. Participants will engage beyond just question and answers to engage with Canada's history using a queer lens.

    Tereasa Maillie (She/Her) is a writer, researcher, and historical consultant based in Alberta. She also has a passion for community programming and advocacy. Tereasa believes that the study of history can be a way to push for social change and social justice. In her spare time, she rides her bike like a maniac and writes plays.
