    In my private practice in Calgary, Alberta I work extensively with the LGBTQ* communities, especially in the areas of same-sex domestic violence, the bullying and harassment of LGBTQ* youth and Gender Dysphoria. I have given numerous workshops regarding counselling techniques, sexual identity, domestic violence, childhood abuse, trauma, anger management, assertion, and communication. My current volunteer positions are with the Calgary Police Service Gender and Sexual Diversity Advisory Board and the Alberta Health Services Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Provincial Advisory Council. I am a member of the Psychologists Association of Alberta, the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Canadian Psychologists Association, the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and the Canadian Society of Clinical Hypnosis – Alberta Division. I have co-authored chapters in three academic books and written the book The Pantry: Creating a Healthy relationship One Shelf at a Time (2018) with my partner.

    Leslie facilitates positive change with groups and individuals.

    She is a certified Appreciative Inquiry facilitator and founding instructor in U Vic’s award winning Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education (CACE) program. Her 1998 Masters degree in Adult Education, pioneered the practical application of quantum physics and the acceleration of deep and sustainable learning.Some of Leslie’s current clients include Alberta Civil Liberties Research Council, Royal Roads University, Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Calgary Unitarians, Roman Catholic Women Priests in Canada and the US, Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST), Teaching and Learning Centre at the University of Calgary, ATB Financial, Alberta Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), and Health Canada.
