Join us for an online conversation marking the anniversary of the conflict that began on 15 April 2023 in Sudan. Since the outbreak of violence, millions of people have been displaced and are facing severe humanitarian needs, while local communities and aid organisations continue working tirelessly to support those most affected.
In this one-hour webinar we will reflect on the current situation in Sudan, the challenges facing communities and humanitarian agencies, and the response from the international community and supporters here in the UK. The discussion will feature insights from CAFOD colleagues working closely on the crisis, including Kayode Akintola, Head of Region Africa, Fatima Salih, Programme Officer for Protection based in Sudan, and Howard Mollett, Head of Humanitarian Policy.
Together they will explore the situation on the ground, the key humanitarian and political challenges, and what is being done here in the UK to raise awareness and support those affected.
