For the past five years, he has held leading positions for Ship Management and Operating companies and is also currently active in a number of non-executive roles in the Maritime Industry. He holds a BEng and MSc from Imperial College and University College London respectively.

    Michela Schenone obtained master degree as Naval Architect and Marine Engineer from the University of Genoa in 2014. Michela then joined RINA as part of the Marine Digital & Innovation team dealing with data analysis, CFD simulations, fleet performance management and the development of other promising software solutions like electronic logbooks. Michela also focused on new Environmental regulations, being RINA’s Scheme Leader for EU MRV Regulation as well as the person in charge for new IMO DCS regulation, for the years 2018-2019. She is currently Marine Digital Solutions Manager, following the developments of added value digital services, coordinating other naval architects as well as software development teams.

The focal point has always been R&D and energy efficiency including ship system simulations, onboard audits, training, and consultation. Whether it has been about ship design or operation, Ossi has always been involved in pushing the industry digitalization forward. Currently, Ossi Mettälä is working as a Customer Success Manager for NAPA Shipping Solutions to provide state-of-the-art performance monitoring and voyage optimization solutions even for the industry segments where high-frequency sensor data is not always available.

Later on, he became a Product Developer for power management and IT-solutions. From 2012 to 2018 Patrick Mueller is a Senior Key Expert & Product Manager for SISHIP and SINAVY Automation solutions for Siemens Marine worldwide. Since 2018 Partick Müller responsible as a Business Owner for the Digitalization for Siemens Marine.

    Mark O'Neil is the President and CEO of Columbia Shipmanagement. Previously an English Army Officer and then a maritime lawyer by profession, as a Partner with Stephenson Harwood LLP and Reed Smith LLP for 17 years, Mark headed up international law firm Reed Smith LLP's German Shipping Team, and also co-lead the firm's Offshore Department. His clients included Ship Owners, Charterers, Insurers, Management Companies, Banks, Oil Companies and Offshore Contractors worldwide with a particular focus on the German, Scandinavian, Greek, Dutch, South American and Cypriot markets. He therefore has an in-depth knowledge of the shipping, ship management, banking and offshore sectors. Mark chairs and/or speaks at numerous maritime and banking conferencesand seminars worldwide. He is a passionate advocate of performance optimization, digitalization, crew training and the Human Element within the shipping and ship management industry and regularly speaks on these matters.

    Tor Øyvind Ask

    Mr. Ask started his deep-sea carrier in 1978, and has 24 years hands on experience in Technical/Maritime vessel operation. He has a M.Sc. in Shipping and Ship Engines and a Ph.D. in Gas Engines from the Norwegian Technical University. His scientific work experience includes working with gas/diesel engine development at Marintek (The Norwegian Maritime Research Institute), where the main customers were: Wartsila, Rolls Royce and Volvo. Since 1998, Mr Ask has been working in various positions heading the Technical, Maritime and New Building Programme in various shipping companies His current position is Fleet Director at Solvang ASA, which has had an on-going newbuilding program since Mr Ask took the position in 2006. Mr Ask has been a driving force for the Solvang’s Eco newbuilding’s. This work resulted in the “Clipper Quito” (84K); was awarded the “Significant Vessel” in 2013 by the Royal Institute of Naval architects’. Mr Ask is a Board member of; CIMAC Norway since 2013, Member of DNV GL Environmental Committee, DNVGL Nordic Committee for Safety at Sea, active participation in the research program Smart Maritime and NSA Environmental and Climate committee.
