He has come to be regarded by industry and peers as one of the nation’s most respected journalists and pundits and is frequently invited to speak or moderate at conferences and roundtables.

Karamjit founded Digital News Asia with a vision that media should play its role as the Fourth Estate, and on the belief that timely, insightful and analytical coverage can help the tech ecosystem in South-East Asia, especially Malaysia, grow and develop.

Ms. Lim Chia Wei is currently the Executive Director of Malacca Securities, a 57 year old award-winning stockbroking company in Malaysia, which for the past 10 years has been focusing on the online trading platform, M+ Online.

She joined the Company in October 2013 and currently oversees the company’s growth plans and operations. In just a short span of her undertaking, she has spearheaded the company’s direction to favour more digitalisation.

Some of the efforts introduced by Ms Lim includes moving the company towards using cloud based work productivity applications and systems, initiating to incorporate IBG then FPX payment settlement methods in the platform, introducing Digital Marketing for the business and recently launched fully online CDS & Trading Account registration.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Imperial College London.

Started humbly as a helper at his father’s hawker store, Chan enrolled into a local college at 18 years old, selling PC hardware on a part time basis to earn his tuition fees. As he discovered the potential of web hosting and lack of providers in Malaysia when building a website for his customer, at 19 he set up his first web hosting reseller business which was 100% Online based, and business kept coming in. To grab the once in a lifetime opportunity, Chan dropped out of college to concentrate on his online business.

Under the leadership of Chan, today the Exabytes Group consists of 12 subsidiaries, with businesses ranging from web hosting to eCommerce and e-Deliveries, serving over 140,000 businesses with over 1 million users in 121 countries. Besides being the local director of Founder Institute, Chan is also the president of the Internet Alliance, Malaysia, and the honoree of TOYM (Top Outstanding Young Malaysian), 2015.

Chan is also co-founder of EasyParcel, EasyStore, EasyWork, EasySpace and angel investors in several startups.

Graduated with Hons. Degree in Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering from National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia).
With more than 30 years in the ICT Industry, CS Chin has vast experienced that involved in Information Technology, Telecommunication and Entertainment Industry especially in Malaysia, China and South East Asia.

In his capacity in SME ASSOCIATION OF MALAYSIA, PIKOM, MCBEA, he represents the associations on high level government committees including National IoT Steering Committee chaired by MOSTI minister, Malaysian Services Development Council chaired by MITI minister and Transformasi Nasional 2050 (TN50) Digital Economy co-chair with the Treasury Secretary General.

CS was the independent Director of M-Mode Bhd, listed company in KLSE from 2009 till 2012 and Non-Executive Director of Galasys PLC, Listed Company in AIMS London from 2014 till 2016.

Prem is the CEO and co-founder of Malaysiakini, and serves as non-executive director of KiniTV and FG Media. He believes in finding practical ways to achieve one’s ideals. He sometimes wonders how he got into this, but then he remembers the pre-Internet media and is glad that he did.
