Andy is also responsible for the Insurance of the leased fleet, safeguarding the scheme by ensuring insurance remains for the benefit of the Scheme customer, affordable and value for money.

Andy has had a varied career. Having graduated in Physics, he started work as a Chartered Accountant before spending 12 years in Investment Banking as Managing Director in Equity Research. He then joined Direct Line Group to lead its Investor Relations and Capital Management, and then moved to lead its Partnership business where he also established a start-up incubator.

Throughout the latter half of Andy's career he has focused on how technology will disrupt the Motor and Insurance industries and how to ensure this benefits road users.
