Catch-up on the Smart Transport Rural Strategy Webinar

Smart Transport hosted a webinar on October 6 featuring a keynote presentation by the Department for Transport (DfT) on how it can work with the private and public sectors in responding to rural transport challenges.

Hosted by Smart Transport chair Stephen Joseph, speakers were:

Michael Power, head of future of transport strategy at the DfT who will provide an update on the DfT Future of Transport: Rural Strategy

Andrew Highfield, head of integrated transport, environment & infrastructure at Hertfordshire County Council on its experience in rural strategy/mobility

James West, UK business development, Padam Mobility who will talk on its experience with delivering Demand Responsive Travel (DRT) in rural areas, experiences in rural strategy and reducing costs of travel

Keith Kelly, head of partnerships, Enterprise Car Club who will outline the company’s experience in rural car share strategy and engagement.
