Many companies can’t reap value from analytics and become data-driven unless businesspeople use analytical tools and act on their output.
Although adoption rates of BI/analytics tools have stagnated in recent years, usage rates are increasing due to self-service tools, embedded analytics, and support for external users. In addition, organizations are tackling thorny data quality issues which always undermine usage by implementing data governance programs.

In a global survey, BARC and Eckerson Group examined the main barriers to wider adoption of BI/analytics software. Furthermore, we asked companies which features contributed to an increase in the use and adoption of BI/Analytics tools.
