This 2 hour session will cover the concept of “ground,” location of fields in the PC board, where high and low-frequency currents flow, cables and other radiators, effects of IC style and packaging, impact of connector pin out, divided planes in the PCB, routing to control noise and routing & grounding of the I/O section for single-ended & differential I/O lines.

Rick Hartley, retired from L-3 Avionics, is the principal of RHartley Enterprises, through which he consults and teaches internationally. Rick’s focus is on correct design of circuits and PC boards to prevent and/or resolve EMI, noise and signal integrity problems. He has consulted with major corporations in the US and 14 other countries. His career has focused on telecommunications, computers and aircraft avionics, as well as medical, appliance and automotive circuits. Rick has taught seminars at numerous conferences, including the IEEE EMC Symposium, PCB West, AltiumLive, Freescale Technology Forum, IPC Apex/Expo and others. He is on the Board of Directors of the ‘Printed Circuit Engineering Association’, is a past member of the Editorial Review Board of Printed Circuit Design Magazine and has written numerous technical papers and articles on methods to control noise, EMI and signal integrity.

Gaston started his new job at Azitech in January 2020, where he provide PCB guidance to our customers and as a key account sales engineer at Azitech he creates production opportunities.

Robert started the PCB company, Azitech ApS in 2004 and has developed the company until this date. Today the company support customers with PCB production from the simple 2 layers to 56 layers motherboards, with special workflows to delicately support special technologies and secure high reliability and quality. We also support the share of PCB design knowledge, which is why seminars has become something we do on regular basis. We also have our own PCB layouters, who, when requried, will assist our customers with intelligent and preapproved design rules.
