Site selection projects can be led by many different internal stakeholders. In a highly competitive environment, winning requires more than just knowing and selling your community. It also requires knowing your audience and the very specific factors that will drive their decisions. In the first half of the session, we will discuss the various positions that may be involved in projects and basic principles and tools which can help you discern their primary motivations.
As the session progresses, the focus will be on the growing role of Private Equity operating partners in location and investment decisions. We will discuss the increasing awareness of the importance of location on the success of their portfolio companies, the incentives they like (and don’t like), and how to tailor your pitch to this new and unique audience.
