New and pending PFAS regulations are evolving in many states and are progressing at the federal level. Nearly every industry uses products containing the class of persistent contaminants known as PFAS, or per- and poly- fluoroalkyl substances. As such, PFAS may be found in process equipment and wastewater. It can ultimately be transferred to soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and attach to dust or vapor particles in the air.
