About
With EU NG eCall based on packet-switched cellular networks now mandatory from January 1, 2026, ensuring its seamless operation alongside legacy circuit-switched networks is critical. It is necessary to consider every possible scenario on how these two separate sets of technologies would interwork with one another, in relationship to cellular coverage and readiness of PSAP. Therefore, understanding of Hybrid eCall is necessary to ensure that eCall works smoothly.

This session is suitable for everyone involved in the design, development, and testing of in-vehicle system (IVS). You’ll gain insights to optimize your testing strategies and ensure your solutions meet the latest requirements.
Agenda
  • Overview of EU eCall testing landscape, including legacy, NG eCall, and Hybrid eCall requirements
  • Current situation of cellular coverage and readiness of PSAP for legacy and NG eCall
  • Exploration of ideas and concepts in EN 17905 (Hybrid eCall specification) and EN 18052 (Hybrid eCall testing specification).
  • Detailed analysis of some example test cases using the Anritsu’s eCall solution
