Whether you revel in piling on the IP protection layers or you think of "patents" as a dirty word, there's no denying that design patents can play a significant role in bolstering a brand's protection portfolio. Even if patents are not your cup of tea, understanding the basics of design and utility patent prosecution and protection is necessary for you to advise your clients on the IP protection available to them and be their go-to resources for all of their IP questions. In this webinar, patent and trademark attorney Steve Cooper of Ware Fressola Maguire & Barber will provide an overview of what trademark and other non-patent practitioners should know about design patents and other forms of patent protection. In particular, he'll discuss:
• Recognizing opportunities for clients to seek design patents
• Understanding key deadlines for patent protection
• Knowing how different types of US and international patents differ

Everyone who’s registered for this webinar will receive an email with a link to the recording.

This session has a pending CLE application in California. For more information about CLE credit for Alt Legal events, including whether your state qualifies, check out this page: https://www.altlegal.com/cle-information/
