About
1 AIA LU (HSW)

Design as Protest Collective is a coalition of designers mobilizing strategy to dismantle the privilege and powers structures that use architecture and design as tools of oppression. It is led by BIPOC designers, who are working to hold our profession accountable in reversing the violence and injustice that architecture, design, and urban planning practices have inflicted upon Black people and communities. Design as Protest champions the radical vision of racial, social, and cultural reparation through the process and outcomes of design.

Join a conversation with Bryan Lee, Jr. of Colloqate Design, and Dong-Ping Wong of FOOD New York, moderated by Tya Winn to learn more about the Design as Protest movement, examples of projects that demonstrate how architecture and built environment can create and perpetuate injustice, and resources and ways you can continue to learn and take action.
