About
Join us for the fourth in our monthly series of MTD Accountability Club webinars on Monday, 15 September at 2pm, where we will take a deep dive into the rules and regulations ahead of the April 2026 mandation date.

This month we’ll be hearing from Emma Rawson, Director of Public Policy, Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), and Samantha Mitcham, Owner of SJCM Accountancy. Emma is a renowned tax expert and writes regularly on AccountingWEB about MTD and much more.

They’ll be joined by Chris Downing from Sage and your host, Jake Smith from AccountingWEB.

On Monday, 15 September at 2pm, we will cover the following:

- The recent draft legislation that was released in July
- A round up of the clarification and latest developments to make sure you’re well prepared and understand everything that could affect your practice or clients

Emma will also discuss what the Professional Bodies are doing on Professional Conduct Relating to Taxation (PCRT) when it comes to quarterly updates and the final tax return as well as their recommendations around engagement letters and other developments.

Sam will share her perspective as an accountant in practice, reflecting on how she has navigated recent legislative challenges and updating us on the progress of her MTD plans in recent months.

The MTD Accountability Club is brought to you in association with Sage. If you would like to join the club and share your progress, please get in touch.
