Prior to joining Wind River, Irby spent 15 years focused on the development of security technologies for cyber operations and technology protection. He has a technical background in system engineering and computer security, and is a recognized leader in the field, speaking at conferences such as Blackhat and Defcon. Irby also has significant tech startup experience, having spent 7 years as the COO for Pikewerks, and 6 years as the Founder & CEO of Star Lab. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math, and Management of Technology from Vanderbilt University and a Masters degree in Information Security from Georgia Tech.
