  • About
The Rule changes are part of a larger risk management package intended to reduce the incidence of successful fraud attempts and improve the recovery of funds after frauds have occurred. The upcoming Rule changes include mandatory fraud monitoring by ODFIs, RDFIs, Third-Party Senders, and non-consumer Originators. Expanding fraud detection responsibilities to more parties in the ACH Network provides additional opportunities to detect and prevent fraud, especially for frauds that make use of credit-push payments.

The Rule amendments were voted on in 2024 with implementation dates for the various Rule changes ranging from late 2024 through June 2026. Join PJ Rohall as he interviews Brent Phillips, SVP – Director of ACH Operations at Cadence Bank and Jordan Bennett, Senior Director of Network Risk Management at Nacha. Jordan will discuss how the new Rules came about and the problem Nacha is trying to solve. Brent’s financial institution is preparing for Rule implementation and will provide his perspective on how they’re preparing for the upcoming monitoring requirements.

If you’re involved in ACH Payments as a financial institution, an Originator, or a Third-Party and you haven’t thought about the 2026 Rule changes yet, now is the time. If you’re already prepared or are preparing and you want to make sure you’re on the right track, listen in.
