The Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Pretoria
(UP), Professor Tawana Kupe, cordially invites you to join him
for UP’s second annual Women in Science Symposium, with
special guest speaker Professor Thuli Madonsela.

Around the world, women are closing the gender gap in areas such
as health and education, but significant gender inequality still
persists in many areas in our communities.

Earlier this year we celebrated International Women’s Day.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2020 is #EachforEqual.

This symposium seeks to look at how society can actively choose
to challenge stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve
situations, and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, each
one of us can help create a gender-equal world.
